The day started better than expected after the last night – and there was even cold pizza left for breakfast!!! What a great start in the day!

the clouds which had been pushing over the ridge also did their game this morning. Pure #cloudporn…

After a short climb we just continued the ridge line for the rest of the morning.

I gave Sophia a little photo course while were hiking – just some basics about framing if pictures, compositions, selcting different objects and levels in photos and some basics about shutter speed, aperture, etc. That’s the result of a good student… 😂😂😂

The ridge continued and reached a climax in a zone with many wash outs and steep drops. Really spectacular!

And then the final drop to the promised land and the holy grail! Let the food
challenge continue 🤘🏼

How much McD can you eat? A full menu with Quarter Pounder & fries, 2x 10pc Chicken McNuggets, extra large fries, 2 McFlurry ice creams, 3l of Coke and a few bites left and right… I was close to throwing up – but it was worth it. I wasn’t the only one. Nico, one of our hiker friends from Spain who forces me to speak Spnish with him which is really cool! Here I had a break though… 😂

Only the beginning of a 4.5h session…

I probably managed to get 4000-5000 calories in. I guess the only day so far where I will actually hit or even exceed my calorie burn from hiking with eating…

We punched in a few more miles after crossing the highway.

After the railway it was just a bit more from one side of the valley to the other side. We continued to a spot which looked fairly flat on the map. Well, it was the flatest part in a steep valley in a rocky river bed. 2x tent and 1x cowboy camp again…

I also have a new spoon after losing mine somewhere. Let’s see which one from
the outfitter “McD” will make the race…

They are both ultralight… 😉
